Tip: Carrots can keep in a refrigerator or cold storage room for several months if properly prepared for storage. Remove all but about 2 inches of the green stubble to prevent the carrot from rotting. Allow the carrot's outer skin to dry. They can be packed in sawdust to keep them dry. Do not wash until ready to use carrots.
